The individual member must have completed undergraduate and/or postgraduate study of safety (professional or university studies) in occupational safety, fire protection, environmental protection, civil protection, another field of safety and security, or a related field.

The collective member must be an association which gathers safety engineers or a high school institution which educates safety engineers.
